Working with Jeff Ashbrook of Adventure Works, I created animation and concept art for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train jewel game at Disney World in Florida.
To make a game like this, many test animations are made before programming begins, this was my role on the project. I made a series of animations that helped guide and inspire the programmers. Some of my animation even ended up being used in the actual game.
The animation you see below was one of the first animations I made on the project.
This soap bar is a special item in the game that only appears occasionally. I created this concept animation in Cinema 4D.
When I went to Disneyworld as a kid, I remember waiting in line for Splash Mountain. I heard a strange sound coming from a tree. I kneeled down and looked into a hole, and there inside was the shadow of a little squirrel sitting by the fireplace. My little mind was blown! Now, I get to create that kind of experience for the next generation. The technology may be different, but the idea is the same, blow peoples minds and make them smile!
The game I helped to make is just a small part of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction at Disneyworld.
Go ride it for yourself to experience true magic in your heart. If you have some Disney hate in your heart, let it melt away in the innocent charm of this magical fairy land.
We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig. We mine the whole day through. We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig. That's what we like to do.
